Derek Burrows is a storyteller, filmmaker, and musician who exploded onto the international storytelling scene more than two decades ago.
A Bahamian who specializes in Afro-Caribbean tales bursting with textures and color, Burrows is regularly featured at storytelling festivals around the world, including the National Book Festival, which is sponsored by Library of Congress. His most recent travels include Argentina and Mexico. Burrows is the recipient of a Massachusetts Artist Foundation Fellowship for Storytelling.
