Thanks for this piece.  I, like you, am a storyteller/poet/musician and am always looking for ways to keep all those plates in the air within my performances.  My latest venture is with Sleeping Beauty, done entirely in rhymed verse and set the Bach’s “Goldberg Variations” -  there are clips on my website.

Impressive! I completely agree with your thinking about storyline. Sometime the reality is stranger than the story. Lots of interesting happenings occur in our lives and we have to face it, too. These occurrences are not less than any thrilling yarn. Thanks for your plain explanation.
