ISC to Host Holiday Events

Jonesborough will be buzzing this holiday season with events for the whole family, and the Mary B. Martin Storytelling Hall will host several activities as part of the community celebration.

The following seasonal activities and events will take place at the Mary B. Martin Storytelling Hall, located on the International Storytelling Center’s campus at 100 West Main Street in Historic Jonesborough.

Saturday, November 26:

5 – 8 p.m.    Coffee and hot chocolate in ISC’s lobby

6 p.m.        Lighting of the Christmas tree in front of the Courthouse

7 & 7:30 p.m.  Holiday storytelling with Mary Grace Walrath

Thursday, December 1:

7:30 p.m. Teller-in-Residence concert, An Uncalled for Christmas

9 p.m. Storyteller meet-and-greet for 7:30 p.m. performance attendees

Friday, December 2:

2 p.m. Teller-in-Residence concert, An Uncalled for Christmas

3:30 p.m. Storyteller meet-and-greet for 2 p.m. performance attendees

7:30 p.m. Teller-in-Residence concert, An Uncalled for Christmas

9 p.m. Storyteller meet-and-greet for 7:30 p.m. performance attendees

Saturday, December 3:

2 p.m. Teller-in-Residence concert, An Uncalled for Christmas

3:30 p.m. Storyteller meet-and-greet for 2 p.m. performance attendees

7:30 p.m. Teller-in-Residence concert, An Uncalled for Christmas,

9 p.m. Storyteller meet-and-greet for 7:30 p.m. performance attendees

Saturday, December 10:

10 a.m. – 2 p.m. “At Home with Santa”: Photos taken with Santa, storytelling with Mrs. Claus, and writing letters to Santa at ISC

5 – 8 p.m. Coffee and hot chocolate in MBMSH lobby

6 – 7 p.m. Town of Jonesborough’s Christmas Parade

7 & 7:30 p.m. Holiday storytelling with Molly Catron

Tuesday, December 13:

7 p.m. Jonesborough Yarn Exchange production in ISC’s theater The Stories of the Carols: A Christmas Sing-Along

Saturday, December 17:

5 – 8 p.m. Coffee and hot chocolate in ISC’s MBMSH lobby

7 & 7:30 p.m. Holiday storytelling with Linda Poland

In observance of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, ISC will be closed December 24 - 26 and December 31 - January 2.
