To help commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day, the International Storytelling Center is deeply honored to present a conversation with American hero Henry Langrehr. Now 99 years old, Langrehr left high school when he turned 18 to serve as a paratrooper in World War II.
When Langrehr was dropped in enemy territory on June 6, 1944, he crash-landed through a glass greenhouse — and it was downhill from there. He fought valiantly for weeks before he was wounded and captured by Nazi forces. Hear about Langrehr’s firsthand account of the D-Day invasion, his horrifying imprisonment, and his brave escape in this one-of-a-kind Legacy Series presentation.
