Our Partnerships

To pursue the organization’s important work, the International Storytelling Center is continually focused on building a network of partners comprised of individuals, organizations, and institutions from across the nation all committed to building a better world through the power of storytelling.

We welcome opportunities that allow us to collaborate with organizations and share the power of storytelling with leaders, students, employees, and volunteers.

Library of Congress

In association with the American Folklife Center of the Library of Congress, ISC is developing a national and international program to collect, preserve, and disseminate information and materials about the traditions, practice, and application of storytelling.

The repository for this information and materials will be the International Storytelling Collection—located at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.  Beginning in 2011, ISC plans to provide on-site and online access to the Collection at our facilities in Jonesborough.

Smithsonian Institution

ISC is one of only 100 affiliates of the Smithsonian Institution, nationwide. Through this partnership, the Center shares Smithsonian artifacts for display in Jonesborough and collaborates on Smithsonian’s programs to advance the cause of storytelling.
