A new exhibit at the Center features the history and achievements of ISC from its origins in the first National Storytelling Festival in 1973. It also displays the long history of the site, including the stories of Cox’s Row, the Andrew Jackson Tavern, Walter Lavender’s Market, and the creation of the present structure. This exhibit was created in partnership with the Heritage Alliance of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia as a collaborative effort to connect our community with its storied past.
This exhibit will be in the lobby of the International Storytelling Center and will be open through the end of the year.
