COVID-19 Information

To ensure the safety of our participants and prevent the spread of COVID-19, there are several measures we are putting in place for the Young Appalachian Story Summit.

  • First, we are encouraging all participants to be vaccinated if possible.
  • Second, we ask that all participants wear a well-fitted face-mask, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated.
  • If you feel inclined to share your comfort level with interactions, we will also have “status stickers” available upon check-in. Green stickers mean, “Vaccinated and ready for hugs!” Yellow stickers mean, “Still being cautious but fist bumps are cool.” Red stickers mean, “Happy to be here but maintaining distance.”

Haven’t had a chance to get vaccinated yet? Free vaccines are available for anyone over the age of 12, and you can find the nearest vaccination site to you by zip code at https://www.vaccines.gov/

Our facilities are cleaned daily and our conference spaces are well-ventilated. Participants will be able to spread out in spaces to maintain social distance.

Any interaction with the general public poses an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19. By attending our event, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure.
