Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer

Award-winning poet, writer, and workshop leader, Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer was Colorado’s Western Slope Poet Laureate from 2015-’17, and served two terms as San Miguel County’s first poet laureate. She has authored and edited 13 books, and her work has appeared on A Prairie Home Companion, in O Magazine, and in dozens of literary journals including Rattle, Clover, and Spectrum. She’s taught and performed poetry for hundreds of libraries, colleges, festivals, and corporate and non-profit groups. Trommer directed the Telluride Writers Guild for 10 years, co-hosts the Talking Gourds Poetry Club and a podcast on creative process called “Emerging Form”. Since 2006, she’s written a poem a day.
