“STORIES THAT SING”

This talented and versatile storyteller, singer, performer has toured extensively in the United States, Europe, Africa, South/Central America, Korea, New Zealand and Australia.

Victoria is a national and internationally recognized Master Storyteller/Vocalist.  She currently resides in southern California, however was born in Washington D.C.  She says, “My parents were natural born southern storytellers. My father was a minister and my mother a musician, who freely incorporated story and music into the daily rituals of life and learning.” I grew up on their musically well-seasoned insightful stories and soon recognized the power of infusing music with story.

She blends her skills as a teacher, librarian, singer and performer to become what she refers to as a “Story Musicologist”.  She earned a Master’s degree in Education from Lesley University with an emphasis in Integrating the Art of Storytelling, Music and Movement Across the Curriculum.”

Victoria currently tours with “Spirit Chorale”, an acapella ensemble; is on the ArtsTeach roster for Segerstrom Performing Arts Center of OC and has been a featured Master Teller for the Smithsonian Institute Folk-Life Festival in Washington DC, the J. Paul Getty Museum in LA and most recently a consultant for the Walt Disney Corporation.
