“Storytelling Live” Starts Next Week

Bil Lepp is here today on our Jonesborough campus performing two sold-out preview concerts for Storytelling Live, our seasonal storytelling residency program. Daily performances begin next Tuesday with South Carolina-based superstar Tim Lowry, and we’ll host a new storyteller each week after that. We hope you’ll join us!

ISC will be a participating partner in the Smithsonian Folklife Festival this summer. Reflecting on this year’s theme (“Creative Encounters: Living Religions in the U.S.”), our president Kiran Singh Sirah writes about the roles that religion, interfaith, and spirituality have played in his life, and how these living traditions can help us all connect with others.

ISC’s April Fundraiser Concludes

As we wrap up our April fundraiser and prepare a heartfelt thank you, we wanted to give you a quick update. This year’s campaign met and exceeded our anonymous donor’s $7,500 matching grant! We raised more than $16,000 from 45 generous individuals. We’re deeply grateful for your support.
