Guy Hughes Carawan, folk singer, activist and storyteller died last Saturday at the age of 87. Guy Carawan who introduced the song We Shall Overcome to the US civil rights movement was a featured storyteller at the National Storytelling Festival in ‘76, ‘77 and at the 10th National Storytelling Festival in ‘82. Carawan was born July 27, 1927 and died May 2, 2015.
